£12m given to Tewkesbury businesses
More than £12 million had been paid to businesses in Tewkesbury as of April 15, according to Tewkesbury Borough Council.
Charged with carry out the distribution of the Government funding to help businesses in the borough find their way through the coronavirus lockdown the local authority said it had made 1032 payments.
On top of that, said the council, it was working its way through "more applications for support”.
Councillor Rob Bird, leader of Tewkesbury Borough Council, said the authority wanted to ensure businesses got the money as soon as possible.
“Ifyou've not applied for funding yet, and think your business is eligible for help, please complete the council’s online application form,” said Cllr Bird.
