Dear Readers, 

Welcome to our first edition post Bank Holiday. We’ve not been off work since last week, honest! We’ve been beavering away gathering stories and talking to contacts and also to potential partners interested in supporting Raikes. 

As well the Cirencester Business Awards 2024, which you can still enter if you or your business is within the GL7 Postcode (the closing date is 24 May. Find out more here), the return of the once mighty Believe in Gloucester Awards, courtesy of Gloucester BID, has also caught our eye. 

This was an event which developed a life of its own as the city itself began to redevelop, swept forward mainly by a wave of investment that began with Gloucester Quays and continued into cultural events like now respected History Festival, before being shelved pre-Covid-19.
