Hollie Gazzard Trust warns it plans to shake things up - with a twist
Dedicated to reducing cases of domestic violence The Hollie Gazzard Trust is known for educating and calming situations - but for one night only it has vowed to ‘shake it up’ in style.
No, this is not the charity changing its ways, this is the much-loved organisation laying down a challenge to us all – to join it for a cocktail masterclass and quiz on Friday (July 3) to help support its cause.
In true-lockdown style, however, the gathering will be virtual – but the attention to detail no less for it with BBC presenter and Gloucestershire face Steve Knibbs quiz master for the evening.
On the ‘mixing deck’ will be none other than Tom Palmer from The Ivy, Cheltenham, showing us all how to make three “fabulous cocktails”, including a very special ‘Hollie’ cocktail.
The Hollie Gazzard Trust was founded by Hollie's father, Nick Gazzard (both pictured above), following the murder of the 20-year-old in 2014 by an ex-partner. Since then it has seen the family and supporters continue to be a voice for change in the county and beyond.
Winning numbers will also be drawn for the charity’s Summer Prize Draw on the night with what we are told are “some fabulous prizes to be won”.
All that remains is for you to buy a ticket and ready yourself.
The event is due to take place on Friday, July 3, from 7pm to 9pm (approximate end time). Funds raised will go towards the development of ‘Hollie Guard’, the charity’s free personal safety app.
All funds raised on the night will be matched by Barclays Bank up to £10,000.
The cost is £10 per person, once signed up we will send you the secure Zoom code and the list of ingredients you will need.
Plus, there will be a prize for the winning Quiz team.
