Date set for Cole Avenue resurfacing work

A date has been set for the resurfacing of busy the A38 Cole Avenue in Gloucester.

According to the highways department the 1,889 metres long road's "upgrade will mean a quicker, smoother and altogether more pleasant journey for all road users".

Plans are to carry out the work overnight from Tuesday, June 16, in two phases between 7pm to 7am (excluding weekends).

During phase one the road will be closed between June 16 to June 29 from the junction at Bristol Road to the junction at Podsmead Road and Epney Road.

For phase two the road will be closed between June 30 to July 17 from the junction at Bristol Road to the St Barnabus Roundabout. 

Social distancing measures will be in place to help ensure our highways crews are safe at all times.
